Truck shut off. Won’t even turn over now
So a couple of weeks ago my 2007.5 Dodge Ram 2500 mega with 6.7 diesel just shuts down while I’m driving down the highway. All of the dash gauges went haywire for a second and I shifted into neutral and coasted to the side of the road cause the truck would not restart in neutral.
I tried to crank the truck while in park and i got nothing turning the key. No clicks or bumps nothing from the starter. The radio comes on and the blower comes on. The engine glow plugs come on and the dash runs it’s pre-start checks. But no movement with the starter. I can however jump the starter and it spins but won’t crank.
I checked every possible thing I could find and assumed the ECM fried. Sent it off to be rebuilt and got it back Saturday. Installed it Sunday and the truck fires right up. 12 codes on the computer all for low voltage from just about every sensor in the truck. Took the truck out Sunday with no problems. Took it to O’Reilly’s on Monday and got the batteries checked and the alternator. All were good. On the way home the truck died in the driveway and won’t crank again. I feel like it’s got to be a ground issue or a wire frayed. I don’t drive the truck a lot as I have a work vehicle. 159,000 miles on the truck. Any ideas of where to start looking? I don’t think the ECM is fried again but I’m not seeing anything (no communication) from the scanner tool. I’m at a loss of where to even start.

Mine did this and there was wires by the transmission that rubbed bare and I taped them up and it worked good for a little bit . Then it did it again and it was my TIPM fuse box under the hood . The best deal is to get the Doorman replacement it is plug and play and I have had no issues for over a year now. Here is the doorman one
