Truck reflash today.

Just had my truck flashed again, with 9k on the od, had a cel come on a few days ago, Tech. pulled up the code p0191 something about a engine temp sensor. Tech also said that engine idle was a little high, it does seem a little slower now. Sounds better also.

The reflash looks to be the same as it was on 9/20/07. TSB 18-009-07B

only difference the paper he gave me today says is TSB 1800907

Not sure if it's any diff programming or the tech just typed it differently.

The other #'s are the same that are listed.

( Customer states check engine light was on, stored code P0191. Reflash PCM per TSB 1800907. 1 18190436 ZZ A15 2114 x4275086AB Label )

Hopeing that the TSB is just telling them what needs done for the truck, and that the software update is different than in September 07.

Being it's a C&C it's probably last on the list to get new updates.

On the drive home truck seems to be peppier, less engine clatter than before. Mileage in 65 miles from overhead LCS said around 17mpg.
Truck had just gone threw another regin, before i arrived at the dealer, 2nd one in 100 miles. After a regin it runs better for awhile anyway.

Talked to the dealer about straight pipein and doing away with the choke system. He said someone pretty soon will make a box that won't through codes ect..... course he said it would void the warranty to use it.
He agreed they should have waited till 2010 to put this bluetec crap to use, let Ford n Chevy work out the bugs first. Not make his Dodge customers guinie pigs.
Larry my Dealer said he has a c&c with the auto, lets it idle alot 20 minutes is not unusual for him, no regins that he could tell so far, think he said there was 2k or 3k on his rig so far.

Tech said mine had shown idle about 20% of running time.

Truck has the G56 tranny, hangs in reverse when it's cold, almost need a prybar to pop it out of reverse. Worked like butter at the dealership. Just have to leave it overnight sometime i guess.

went to get my reflash done and was told I needed to wait for the recalled O2 sensor before they did that. I guess they are on backorder. I have been reluctant to reflash anything because I haven't had a single problem since last May and also haven't reflashed since then. Can I expect any improvements? or can I expect to finally see the CEL?

Just had the AX done yesterday and I feel a difference. The truck is smoother, shifts firmer and seems to have better pick-up. The overhead is more responsive and is reading a number that looks closer to what I really get for MPG.

Finally found the Tech's sticker today in the engine compartment, anyway, the reflash is AR .

Seems like there is more pinging sound than before, (almost like detonation in a gasser sound) but partly goes away as the truck warms up good.

Seems to be more frequent regens, but shorter in duration.
Mpg still sucks though.

Tranny doesn't hang in reverse as bad if it's shifted through the other forward gears before going into reverse, when cold.
After it's warmed up works like it should,
kinda crunches into 2nd gear. (best I can think to describe it).
