The trans and so on is not covered you have to get the extended warranty for that. It cost me $2400 for 4/100K on it but covers trans, A/C, Alt, steering, and every thing like that ( the parts that always brake).

Sounds like they will br OK with the bed incident with that much for an extended warranty, I got a 4yr/100k for $1000 that covers everything you said and power train. They were going to make it 7yr/100k but I told them I won't have it that long!

Not trying to burst your bubble, but I just got on here searching for a trouble code, P1142, that showed up on my buddies 08 6speed auto while he was towing, supposedly right at 20000 lbs. He complained that the transmission started slipping and the check engine light came on. Without the trailer it doesnt slip, but if you set the parking brake the truck will not move no matter how hard you get on the throttle. I never drove the truck before the problem, but he complains that it has lost power, and I find it lacking of my expectations myself, but he does have 3.73 gears.

08 w/100k bumper to bumper warranty

When I bought mine they sold me a 3/100 bumper to bumper with a $100 deductible for $1940, then gave a $1000 rebate. I drive 40k a year so it works great for me, and I pull whatever I want. In Texas w/ farm tags you can gvwr up to 36k overall, I am always below that.

That's what they wanted to give me but I will hit 100K most likely in less than 3years (maybe less than 2 if I drive as much as I did the last few years) but got the 4 just in case things slow down. We average over 1K a week for work. I don't drive my truck as much as I use to but I may for a price. Also I have no deductible that's why it cost so much. It covers every thing bumper to bumper except bulbs, glass, brakes and things like that, nothing that I would have fixed at the dealer anyway I would just do it myself.

I am about to go out the door and go pick it up. Wish me luck.
