Too much clutch?

Had my tranny re-bearinged at 284,000 miles. Front input shaft was getting aflat spot on it. Tranny guy went thru the whole thing with all new bearings. Well, Im at 317,000 and I strarting to get rubbing noises again. With a heavy load this SB clutch is a buger to back up - to much grab, and I have the one designed for towing.

I tow alot and I tow heavy (oil field), is this clutch ruining my tranny? Im taking it in in the morning to get it looked at. I will be in touch.

Dampened disc

I'm guessing that you have a dampened disc clutch, the disc with the springs in them. In heavy truck clutches with them, sometimes the springs fail causing pieces of the springs to get wedged between the disc and the flywheel and pressure plate. Broken pieces of the springs in the bellhouseing are a good sign of this problem.

Fill out your signature. We can't tell if you have an NV5600 or G56 tranny.
