With all the talk about people wanting to remove the new emissions equipment on the new 6.7 engines I thought you may want to read this. It was forwarded to me by another member of this site...................

Hey Luke, thanks for that article, I'm not looking to mess with the EGR system on my truck or anything else for that matter, but I am curious as I think I read some where that the EGR system is only warranted for 50k miles. Is that correct?? I know you'd be the one who is "in the know" about these things. Is that true??
I meticulously maintain my trucks and I've already experienced EGR problems @ 27k miles. I've had the truck since April and got 35k miles on the clock now and very soon to roll over the 3/36 warranty limit. So I'll be at 50k miles shortly. Any light you can shed would be very helpful.
TIA

wouldnt stop me, i would still do it in a heartbeat. This is BS, Not living in the city is a great thing.

Wasnt removing the cat in the older trucks illegal as well?? Same thing only consequence would be that you dont pass emissions tests. Cops dont generally give a Edit about it.

If i could fab it myself i would make a bolt on exhaust that bolts on where the emissions starts on the stock exhaust. That way you could always just bolt the old one back up for a emissions test if you had to do one
