edited by admin those are ugly...I like the older look much better

it's all a matter of time until someone figures a way around all the emissions crap on them.

Guys,

I had one of my dealers I deliver to, tell me that there is a straight pipe kit being all worked out by a manufacture right now and its in testing as I type this.

Would not tell me who, understandable sort of LOL. Said last word he was told was that it would be released in about six months if all goes as planned...

I have been having all sorts of trouble with my 6.7 with 30K on her now and its never had a complete regen. yet...
I know the ecm is a learning system and I run the thing with the CEL on and its getting where it comes on less duration each time, seems to me anyway.

I just wonder if I was to straight pipe mine if it would run fine, just have a CLE on and go through a learning process till it see's this all as norm??? LOL...

The CLE is just a annoying thing if it runs as its been now with the DPF getting more clogged as time goes by. The other thing I have noticed, that here in Tex. on my daily route the roads are long and pretty much congested free, so I run for hours on end driving my truck like I stole her!!!

I mean with the 27' trailer loaded I run this 6.7 in 6th gear and the tow/haul on @ 2300-2400 RPM for miles on end without stopping or even slowing much below 2000K... Seems to help me keep the DPF cleaned somewhat if I had to guess LOL...

I forgot to say that I already made a muffler delete pipe and from what I saw from it was I can't help but wonder why Dodge felt they needed the muffler other than to charge us for one LOL??? Man the emission stuff on the new 6.7 is some kind of restriction if you ask me...

I just have not had the time to pipe the truck up straight through for a look see if the motor will run or not. If all you were to get is a CEL and code horn, I would figure out somehow to get the time to build up a straight system for mine even if I had to do this with a flash light and in the dark pretty much LOL...

I know someone that may know what happens when straight piped on the 6.7 and I plan to call him on Monday to ask more questions of him on this matter...

well just got a email from a guy that beta test edge with and he has put a straight pipe on his truck and it runs good and notice a performance gain from it. He said he put all the sensor back in to the pipe and not thrown a code yet. With the edge on level 5 he said it can cover the road with smoke.
