Sooting issue
Not really an emergency, but i was wondering if there is a way to clean the turbo and exhaust filters myself w/o taking it to the dealership?

Welcome to the forum. Fill out your signature so we know what your truck is. Do a search for DPF, EGR, turbo cleaning, etc. This is a very "popular" subject with the 6.7 owners. There is a great article about cleaning the EGR valve on the top of this page. Driving in "tow/haul" and using the exhaust brake helps to keep the soot from building up in the turbo. There are hours of reading material on this subject in this forum. Enjoy.

Thanks for the reply...got a question though. If i install a dpf delete pipe, do i need to run a programmer to bypass the sensors and/or fault codes?

You can clean turbo if you have special tool and the turbo has a drilled cleaning port. Tool is $300 + special cleaning fluid. If under 100K miles and turbo P2262 code is setting cleaning would be covered under warranty. DPF is only cleaned during a regen cycle, if check engine light is on then regen could be disabled causing DPF to plug up with soot. When that happens engine power will be derated and see dealer will appear in the overhead display.
