Hey guys, I have a 273. when i turn the **** on the dash my 4x4 light just flashes. Until i slow down to like under 10mph then it will shift. Tires are new, Ive tried giving it some gas and letting off and nothing helps. Any idea why it would work sitting still but not drivign? you can hear the electric shifter try and shift just wont click in. Is there wearable items inside the tcase that could cause this?

 

I would say it sounds about normal but I have never engaged mine going more than about 10 mph. IIRC the owners manual says up to 30 mph? If so, I'm sure there is some type of wearable part.

How many miles on the truck?

 

Tell ya truth its been doing it for a while, but i always forget about it till the snow flies. Id say pry since the 80k or 90k mark. Truck has 130k on it now. Its not a huge deal until your going along with trafic and you want to put it into 4x4 and you gotta pull over.
