I'm thinking about getting a newer truck. I have three questions.
1. When did the six speed auto come out?
2. When did the side and rear air bags get to be standard equipment on the Rams, if in fact they are?
3. Where else can I get these questions answered? The dealers are no help at all.

Six speed auto (68rfe in the 3500 cab and bed trucks) came out in 07.5 along with the 6.7 cummins.

Don't know about the side airbags.

This is a good place.

 

I've got an '08, no side or rear air bags unless you count the Firestone ones I installed.

And yeah, you will like it here. Tons of great info and the folks are really friendly.

Supplemental side curtain air bags is a $490 option on my truck. I had them on my 07.5 and now my 09. Gives you front and rear side curtain (deploys down from roof).
