Check engine light...
Check engine light...
So, its 32 degrees in Nj this morning and I go to start my 2009 Cummins. I turn the key, wait for the intake heater to cycle, and try to crank her. Click Click. no Go... Dead Battery. So I grab the battery out of My camper and hook up the jumper cables. Turn the key and, Thank the Lord, she fires up. (Cant be late again.. the boss doesnt like it...
)
Now the yellow check engine light is on. I check the volt meter and its doing it usual thing where it dips down when the intake heater cycles. But otherwise, 14 volts. I drive it to work, and it seems fine. Get too work, shut her off, wait a minute and fire her up again. No problem.
Now, I did have the radio on with the truck off for qiuet a while yesterday, so that may account for the dead battery.
But why is the check engine light on? Shouldn't it have gone off once the truck was running normal?
I leave for Tennessee tommorow morning at 6am. What do I do????
