revs high in 4x4

Hello folks, my daughters trucks reved out on her today when she put it 4x4 and touch the fuel peddle ,she put the brake on but the truck just rev'ed and wanted to go even when the brake was ,it did stop reving and went back to idle,i had a promblem once last year when i pulled a truck out of the ditch that it did the same thing to me,felt like it wanted too take right off and my foot was'nt even on the peddle ,any one ever have this happen to them and why would it do that.any help is appericted thanks.

Throw a Timbo apps at it. (Accelerator pedal position sensor.) if you search on here you'll find it pretty easily.

reva high in 4x4

Well lol,she had it in 4x4 lo range and that is why it was reving high for her,i'm 300 miles away from her so i'm very concerned when something go's wrong with her truck,just about thought that maybe tranny was slipping too,but after she told me that it slowed down real fast too and felt like it was jerking and reved high again and then would not go out of 4x4,itold her to put it in nuteral and then try turn it off and it went out.luck of the irish lol.
