Queston on a new truck I found on the lot

OK, I posted this same statement/question on the TDR website and want to see what responses/views I would get here. Thanks for reading.
================================================== ===
I found a 3500 C&C Reg. Cab 84" cab to axle Cummins 6-speed manual with an 11' electric dump body already installed on a lot in Mass.

I saw this truck early last year and it is a Pre Jan. 01 2007 truck (the exhaust break is not installed or activated - no button on the dash board).

It is a ST with 20/40/20 split vinal bench seat
- A/C
- manual windows/lock
- snowplow prep
- ST decor

It is over a year old so I'm sure it will need all the computer updates.
I am concerned it also has that problem that the early 6-speed manual trannies had with fluid level.

What do you guys think would be a good offer price for something that is sitting in the WAY back lot, all but forgotten, covered with snow? I'm thinking an offer of 30K just to get it off their lot.

I would think I could get it for a steal, but I am concerned that there may be big problems with a truck that has sat for such a long time.

Are my concerns valid?

The warranty won't start until its sold. See what happens with a low ball offer. Good luck.

I guess my specific concerns are:
How many and what are the "Flash" updates since 01/01/07?
What redesignes have occured to parts (e.g. the turbo) since 01/01/07?

These are things that I would thing should be corrected on this year old truck ... or could the dealership just say no to any updates since it sat on their lot and I would have to go through all the problems that everyone else has had to go through this past year before they (the dealership) would fix/update the motor?

Run the Vin at Dodge and find out what needs to be done to bring it up to date.

Yes, go to the Dodge site, click on owners and to the left will be a place for the last 8 digits of the Vin.

I would also like to see if I can display/print the truck's "Window Sticker" from the internet. Is there a site where I can put in the truck's VIN# and list out all the options and what is included in the truck?

go to this site and fill in the info. dodge will e-mail you a build sheet listing all of the included and optional accessories and packages that were installed on the truck. i mean it lists absolutely everthing. i got my reply about 3 days after submitting, but they say it can take a week or so.

The problem with that site is that if it is not your own personal car/truck they will not use any VIN info and not send you info about the car/truck.

One more question. Will a 3500 C&C with a dump body (approx 2K lbs) be able to hold 2 yrds of stone, dirt, sand without buclking? This would be a must for the truck to be worth while.

Anyone have an answer to my question please? Who has a C&C 3500 with a dump body?

Take the 30 grand and find a good used quad you'll be glad you did at re-sale time.

Our Cab and Chassis has a build date of Nov or Dec 06. I'm not sure which, it's not here for me to look at right now. The exhaust brake was an option it, not included at the time. We got it in Jan 07 and it's never had a flash. I'm not sure why it would need one? The milage seems to be on par with what people are posting here and there's never been a problem with the regeneration equipment. If that truck has been there a year, i'd offer something very low. The worst they can say is no. and you can go up a little or leave. Most likely they will what to get rid of it though.

I don't know what two yards of stone, sand or dirt weigh, but i've had almost 6k on our flatbed and it handled it pretty well.

My truck, when towing a max load will have over 5k on the pin. Max load is around 25k, trailer and load.
