Pros and Cons

I'm thinking on a 07 model Dodge 2500 with a 6.7 . Whats are ya'lls thoughts on this motor . Newbie here but ole shool when it comes to the 5.9 ! All help apperciated . Thanks in advance .

I have a 07 cab and chassis with over 315,000 miles on it. No problems at all after I deleted all the environmental garbage off it. It is a good strong engine, you will probably be out of warranty anyway, delete everything. You won't go wrong.

Thge 6.7 is a beast and great on power and not too bad on fuel. the 6spd auto is also awesome. i have had all the cummins in all the generations of trucks and can say i wont go back to the 5.9

Thanks for the replys ...this 07 only has 26,000 miles on it . What is the average fuel mileage on the 2007 6.7 ? Is is a good transmission or did they change it on the 6.7 in 2007 ? Any help is apperciated !

The 6.7 is a nice truck I love mine but at the same time miss my 5.9 fuel mileage. Average 60 miles a day 50/50 hwy city i am around 16. 29,000 miles on my 6.7 and no problems at all.

Enviromental Garbage = EGR & DPF.

Delete EGR & put a 4" strait pipe on from the turbo back, throw on a H&S or Smarty tuner and down the road you go for 100's of thousands of miles.

after removing the emmisions goodies(garbage) if i just set the cruise on the highway at 70 maybe 75 MPH and run a few hundred miles i hand calculate my mileage at 19 to 19.5, havent made 20, but i get a wee bit throttle position intensive sometimes haha
