Plugged dpf

Quick question, driving down interstate 80 wyoming below zero temps. Overhead gives dpf warning shift down bring rpm's up. still plugged up truck shut down, got started again able to limp into rock springs Wy. Contact dealer this morning of coursed asked to drop it off. Get there and told had 3 others come in on friday, and will be a wait on parts. If this problem is happening as often as it sound why isn't there a cold weather delete for Blu tec exhaust system? I do have 24,000 miles on truck but sure hate to shell money out for a motel and meals because I cant get home with a fairly new truck. Is there anything going on to take care of this kind of problem?

Glad to hear others are working on problem. Sure would like to keep this from happening to other people, not exactly a great thing to be stranded away from home just hoping to get your truck back. Not to mention the extra expense of hotels and food.

There is a dealer fix if u find the right dealer and the right tech , the fix is every parts of the trucks exhust sys ,and egr sys must be replaced or cleaned (better replaced ) dealer cost is about 10,000 ,this will take some time ,to get all part and repair , i do 4-5 6.7 repairs a week if done correctly no more probs ,its all about finding the right tech !

would you know of any dealers between utah wyoming or colorado. I'd sure travel to have it done right. I sure enjoy the truck and the available power have a load on it most of the time I use it. With the exception of a few 6 hour runs to casper empty, to see my daughter. Which is what happened this weekend. (don't like to run the jeep in the high winds up there) I've been extremly product faithful, 5 CTD's starting in 99, 01, 03, 05, 07.5 and now an 09 Jeep Rubicon. Not putting the miles on that I did in the past and plan on keeping 07.5 for more years than my other trucks. Just don't want to be stranded again.
