there won't be any codes as it is a reminder to replace the crankcase filter on top of the valve cover. the reset procedure is posted on page 1

What are the downfalls of not replacing this CCV filter? Other than warantee. With the rate I put on miles, I may never get to change the thing at all.

My EVIC reads; "SERVICE REQUIRED" then "SEE DEALER NOW" I tried the reset procedure with no luck. This is the second time its done it. I also check for codes w/ the smarty and it shows nothing. I go ahead and do the clear codes on the smarty and it goes away. Havnt had a loss in power or other problems when its on. I'm gonna take it out tomorrow after work and race it around a lil to see if it comes back on. If i have time , its not my daily driver. Does anyone know if theres a sensor that may tell the ECM that the CCV filter is clogged like the air filter?

it is supposed to come on by mileage. no sensor per say

If thats the case its definately premature. Only 35,000 on it. Gotta love all the smog BS.

That's funny Mega-engr. The rate I am going it will be in 2021. After 3 years of ownership To the day only 14.700. I think this will be my last truck least that's the plan.
