I checked the pinned DTC and did not find this code. After the truck has been sitting for a month, CEL was on and now have this code. Anyone know? Also, my Insight is not reading boost or trans temp... = NA. Does read EGT. Truck seems to run just fine... Going to load Smarty level 23 and redo to see if that clears things up...

Im with you, Id just reload and that should take care of it.

Id unplug the Insight and let it reset itself too.

 

Maybe so for sure. I check CF and people have been asking out this PD421 code as well with no answers really. I suppose the closest is PO421? It is distinctly PD though...

The insight was unplugged for a month though as well as it will drain batteries dead big time...

I unplugged that sucker a couple times and still the same.

Almost done with the Smarty reload (45 min. to an hour upgrade) before going out to the truck for relaunch.

 

Well, I think my truck might love me again after the cold shoulder I've giving it. Loaded up the latest Smarty version and all is well there, no CEL and the Edge is working like it should. Whew! Going on a towing vacation next week and don't need any issues with my "rock" there.

 

Were you getting the overhead message?

If so let me know if it goes away. I still need to upgrade mine, just havent gotten around to it.

 

I have never received that overhead message that others have... I even checked to see and System = OK prior to reload. I was on r18 previously...

Im just gonna have to quit being busy (lazy) and update mine and see what happens.
