Ok so I had a MPG ?

Here is the deal my brother works for a dodge dealer and is asking for real world #'s. Here are the stats...

2008 2500 4x4 Crew Cab 4.10 auto w/ the 6.7

What kind of mpg are we looking at I'm not up on the 6.7 but I'm quessing 15-17 stock? Am I in the ball park?

Any info would be great thanks.....

Just hit 30K miles.

Mostly highway miles. About 60% of miles is towing a flatbed trailer with two rafts or a motorcycle trailer with two dirt bikes @ 60-65MPH. Stock.

To date 17.04 AVG MPG. Running on summer fuel at 60 MPH empty and no trailer will get over 20, up to 22 MPG hand calc'ed.

Winter Fuel will take me down 1.5 to 2 MPG. I think if this was a daily driver, I would plug in every morning during the winter to help out fuel efficiency during the first 10 miles in the am. Fuel mileage is really poor when starting up this bad boy in cool/cold weather and I think the block heater would improve that to some degree. If nothing else, getting heat faster would be nice........

That would be summer mileage correct? I use to get 15 to 17 on the highway and 12 to 13 in the city during the summer. In the winter, when using winter fuel I would get 11 to 12 in the city and 14 max on the highway. This is hand calculated not from the OHD and in the stock configuration of the truck. I have a 2008 Dodge Mega Cab 2500HD, 4X4, 6Sp Auto, 3:78 gears.

Mpg 09 6.7

09 2500 6.7 blue tec ram 2500 36k miles
the reason I did this milage check because the amt of fuel I used on the 1st leg of the trip. These were hand calculated, full to the neck top offs.

Just did a 1800 mile trip.
900 miles towing 6 x 12 empty enclosed trailor at 75-80 mph = 9.5 mpg

just the truck 80 mph x 300 miles = 13.5 mpg

just truck at 68 - 71 mph 330 miles = 18.5 mpg

Have a 5k trip in a few weeks, so whats my time worth ? vice fuel cost ?, I think I'll back off the gas a little.
