Ok. So are you suggesting that I do not get the flash that you speak highly of or what? I do not have any problems the flash speaks of but if it is up to date software and I am already going in for some things why should I NOT do it? Quick response would be great. I am leaving first thing in the morning.
Thanks
Thanks
The tranny flash worked out for me, I'm hoping it will work out for COOP if you want to flash the truck get the AU for the PCM and use you own judgement on the tranny flash, I HATED the way tranny shifted when I left the dealer after the flash, it seems to be better, but I also havn't had a load on the truck either.
the tranny flash was to cure the code p0868 (I think that was the code),it was for a low line pressure, I didn't have that code.
Hope this helps

So I asked them to check to see if I needed the TSB they said they would check things out. They wouldnt install it unless there was a problem.
As far as the high idle he said they could do it but would charge me an hour of labor $95 seemed steep but I want it for the winter.
The leak on the turbo from the line above it. I was told it was not from that but probably from something I did or ran through. He thought it looked maybe like concrete.
Although the fluid was red leaking from the hose and the corrosion had a nice pink color to it. Not to mention on top of the turbo and running down the sides. Everything I said he put it back on me fault saying it was my fault.
I asked about the oil change interval coming up twice in less that 6000 miles. He said when I reset the oil change required status @ 2300 miles that I must have changed it went resetting it on the over head. Even though you dont touch the over head to reset that button you do it with the gas pedal. I also dont think you can change the interval on the overhead.
And the door gasket had to be ordered. So I was truckless all today and probably till noon tomorrow. Just another pleasant trip to the dealer and everything was my fault including the pink concrete.

That Pink Concrete is no doubt coolant. I think I remember reading the new turbo's have water cooled center sections for bearing life. I hate responses like that from a service writer. They used to drive me crazy when I was a Tech.....
I had coolant leaking from the overflow tube where the tube connects to the radiator under the radiator cap. I had "pink concrete" stains on the air box and the lower radiator hose. A zip-tie worked to stop the leak.
Ask the service writer to kindly pull his head out of his a** and check the coolant level.
You should also complain about paying for the high idle feature. The scan tool will be connected anyway for the diagnostics and flashes. Navigating to a different section of the software and enabling take only a matter of minutes.
Did you purchase the truck from this dealer? I'd talk to the sales manager (not the salesman) about the crappy treatment your getting in service.

My dealer charged me $35.00. I stood there with the stop watch on phone and If I remember correctly it worked out to be about $11.00 and some change per minute to enable the high idle.
