I knew it. Must be tough working for such a misguided group.

Rest assured that your cel buddy will be back. You should turn him into the EPA and let them know what a great guy he is and how happy you are paying for the faulty equipment and extra fuel it takes to keep him happy.

yes.. that's a good one. The CEL was on on mine, and 2 days later it went off. THe engine then had no power, the turbo wouldn't spool up. It had the p2262 code.

Had to drive the Gf mazda car for the week it sat in the shop. Got it back friday Hope it stays outa the shop for atleast 3 months this time!!

If they performed the proper tsb and "cleaned" the system as it recommends you should be good to go. I've had great results so far and that's with a few trucks that never tow a thing and have some incredibly high idle time.

Just get use to the CEL. Honestly, my dad doesn't even care about his anymore, pretty much on all the time. His motto is he will drive it until it doesn't run (which probably won't be long). Honestly, who cares? Most of the time if you take it in they don't do anything anyways. The best thing is to get rid of the problem child, or hope it catches on fire. Hopefully one of these days that silencer pad falls down, here's hoping!

the bank or finance co has no interest on whether your truck runs or not

Many CELs will clear themselves if the parameter that set them is resolved. Some take a set number of key cycles, others will clear immediately.

I have a 94 Caprice LT1 that likes to throw a code 32 ( EGR ) up to keep me on my toes........ goes back off after it is satisfied I saw it.

My CELs on my '08 didn't care if I saw them or not. They went off, came back on, went off, came back on. I finally went off after a year of looking at them and got rid of the problem for good.

Every time the dealer looked at it they just shrugged their shoulders. I felt like one of those idiots that responds to the e-mail and sends my address, bank info, and $100 transfer fee to the Nigerian diplomat looking for any American to send the $250,000 death benefit to.

CEL still off.

Some friends of mine are trying to talk me into some deletes, one of them has a four post lift in his shop. I may have to compromise my ethics a bit and let some stuff drop off my truck. Just have to win a Smarty or save up.

Now you're talking. You can present the EPA with all the fuel that you are NOT burning by saving MPG's. This emmisions stuff is kind of like spending money. If you're going to spend it, you might as well look for a sale. However, the best way to save money is to not spend it at all...

The best way to protect the environment is to save MPG and not burn the fuel in the first place... Burning more fuel for cleaner emmisions will never compare to the emmisions not produced at all by not burning it in the first place.

One can buy some emmisions credits and pollute the environment legally with the money saved.
