The age of the 5.9 is over. Now it is the 6.7's turn to rule the diesel world. hahaha

I heard that the 6.7 is a 5.9 with a longer stroke. I could be wrong, I have before.

It's hard for me to get use to the emissions standard each year. I just wonder when it will get to the point they start making us like my truck, that all it has is a stock muffler, retrofit with particulate traps and such. I hope never. Also I think I read somewhere they re-engineered the fuel filter on the 6.7 and made it harder to change filters now. They had a good thing with the set up they got now, I thought.

I know , glad I bought mine when I did ,or I'd be burning more fuel to make cleaner exhaust.

The EGR systems I deal with on the OTR Cummins and Volvo engines are a nightmare. I hope the systems they designed for the pickup market work better. If not, the future EGR threads will be reminiscent of the infamous VP-44 lift pump debacle.

Yep the emissions stuff is why I bought my truck back in Feb.
It was built 12/06, so no '07 emission stuff. So performance mods are planned for when the warranty expires!
