read on cumminsforum that there is supposed to be a new flash coming out mid Nov. that has to do with the tranny and downshifting.... anybody hear of this before? i think it would be good as my tranny seems to like to let the motor lug a lot. If i want it to downshift i have to give it a lot of the go pedal and it wont just downshift 1 gear like i originally want it to , it will downshift 2 gears and go into haul butt mode.

I guess i could always just use my lil magic thumb shifter, but ya know...

I would luv to see a new flash that helps with the downshifting and lugging. I already see that is a problem. That could be my 3.73's too though. Im probably gonna do 4.10's by 50,000 miles if smarty doesnt help.

I posted in another thread about this but I was put my stock exhaust back on and couldnt get the codes to clear so I went to my dealer and they let me take there scanner to put it in mobile-desoot mode which is manual regeneration and it wouldnt work. A couple weeks early we put the au flash in. The shop manager said we will hook it up and see if there is anymore flash updates and there was it was au I think the numbers were the same. The tech said it was a new one because it wouldnt have been ale to download it on to the starscan tool. This was two weeks ago so it has come out in the last month some time. And he said there was going to be a new one coming out before this happened so it is probably it. I cant tell you the difference between the two because I was strait piped.

One more thing. Everytime I take my truck in for a reflash they have to install the bootlegger progam on it and they tech said this is the only truck that he has to do it to everytime. Do any of you know if they have to put it on your truck, or anything about it.

They put the AU program in my truck last month, they had to do the bootloader that time as well.

The AU flash, as far as i know has nothing to do with the tranny.

Ok, either I'm an idiot, blind, getting old or all of the above, but I have looked for the sticker that indicates what flash has been completed and no luck at all. Any ideas on how to confirm what has been done besides finding the sticker or asking the dealer? They usually tell you what they think you want to hear!!!!!!!!!

Most dealers will put them on a sticker mine doesnt though. I the only way I know what is on it is by hooking up there scanner and it will tell you what version you have.
