Hey, the truck is in the shop again... The dealer is telling me they have a new design egr valve... IT's ON BACKORDER!!!!.. Should hopefully have in next week.

Has anyone heard the scoop on new design???

No I haven't heard anything, but I do wonder with the problems people have with the EGR if Dodge redesigned it for the 2010 HD that are coming but that you can get them for the older ones as well.

nice, i told the gm at the dealer that i was gonna remove it, it's funny when i said that he expedited the "BACKORDER"

Just breaking in here...I don't see any new or backordered part numbers for the EGR valve. Current number shows status of 2007-2010. There is a bulletin about talking to the engineers directly if certain perameters are or are not met in diagnosing these properly. Get me some more info and I'll research it for you.

thanks chris.. took the truck home today.. dealer says has 2 other's in the same stage as mine.. flashed the ecm2x and repl a bunch of stuff.

Svc mgr told me that the factory says EGR is the next step, I hope it helps.
