New Brake Pads

33,00 miles and I need new brake pads. Can anyone help with with some guidance on whether I should just get an oem set from dodge or are the after market brands worth going with.

Thanks.

I went with the Napa sever duty. Front and back. They stop the truck very well. I also do alot of towing and they dont heat up as fast as the stockers. I have about 30k on them and they still work great.

I went with Wagner Thermo quiets. If you go O.E. make sure you do not get the Value line.

Autos are well known for eating pads up before 40k. 03-current. My manual trucks were fine well into 80-90k. Problem is that autos come out of lockup in lower gears so the drivetrain can't help slow the truck. Especially if you don't get to be on the highway more than town or city driving. Even using T/Haul in town helps but still it comes out of lockup. EB is only effective above second gear. The more RPM's the better.

If your doing a lot of towing, check and make sure your trailer brake is working. Tow/Haul is a plus to.

If you need pads this soon, take it to the dealer, because something is wrong.
If its good mechanicly, then its operator error. Driver training would be in order.
No use spending extra money on premium pads.
