This plug here is the map sensor. It is the one on the intake.

Here is a bit farther out view to give you an idea of where its at.

If I were to clean it, I would used electrical contact cleaner. I would pull if first and see if it does need a cleaning, if not, Id leave it alone. I have never pulled mine and its fine.

I cleaned mine with dish soap, water, and a tooth brush, carefully. It wasn't all that dirty

If its not real dirty then i would leave it alone. if you just have the urge to clean it use water.

I cleaned mine 2 days ago (first time since I bought the truck 3 yrs ago). It was quite clogged up. I used Brake Kleen (non-chlorinated). Dissolved the soot instantly. I cleaned it up using a toothbrush a and toothpick. The part is easy to remove. You need a #15 torx head tool to remove the one screw.

Well I just tried this and it broke off and fell down inside the intake manifold into the intake tube. I ended up taking the manifold off as well as the EGR valve, and the intake tube. Found the broken off part and removed it. It was a clean break right behind the o-ring. For others wanting to do this a little prying action might seem necessary but that is what will cause the break. It should be removed straight out of the hole if possible, mine was kind of tight. The wall thickness of the manifold is what broke mine off with a little prying.(Not much wiggle room) Anyway you might want to order a new one to have on hand if this is your daily driver. I have one inbound as I write this. I cant believe how much soot was impacted in the intake and EGR as well as the grid heater. My first thought was "what engineer do I have to kill first" Then I just moved onto the EPA and thought, My god I don't have enough bullets" Anyway no blood was shed and only alittle bit of religion was lost from cussing but it is back together waiting for new sensor. In case your going to attempt this venture be it known that these are some pricey little sensors. The dealer wants $125 while autozone wants the same, O'Reilly's wanted $58. Ebay is your friend though $20 bucks. Nobody had one in stock, about 3 to 7 days wait. Anyway hope this helps someone for the future. Best to you all.
