Just Venting..... Why don't they make a locker for my axle!!!!

Just need to vent.... We are having one of the snowiest, iciest winters in recent history in NJ and I have gotten stuck more times then I care to count while out playing in the ice and snow off-road. As you all are aware, the "limited slip" option is just that..."limited". Works fine on a "sorta" slippery road... but not beyond that.

While many people do not like the characteristics of a locker on road, such as the one from Detroit, I absolutely love them off road and I find it tolerable on road.

Having had many trucks with a Detroit locker in the rear, on axles such as the 14 Bolt Gm and the Dana 60 with tires from 35" up to 44", I can say I have never had one fail or let me down.

So, why cant I get one for the rear of my dodge?

Get an ARB. Best of both worlds. Its open when crusing on snow/ice/etc and locked up like a detroit when needed.

LSDs are just that, but honestly this one works better than any other LSD I have ever used, but helical-gear LSD's are tricky when stopped. Have you tried the brake method?

I will add that it would be awesome if they made the elocker from the PW in a 11.5" size.

Brake method is key... Still won't be as good as a locker, but it will help.
