does anyone know if an AFE or similar intake from an 03'-06' 5.9L Cummins will work on the 6.7L's??????? definatly gonna do some kind of aftermarket filter on the 07' just thought I'd start checking around now! Dusty

 

I looked at mine the other day at Richard "Maddog" Madsens shop, he didn't think the 06' would fit it, there are a couple more sensors in the 6.7's intake. I'll look at one more closely and let you know.

the airfilters are different from the 5.9L.

There is a mass airflow sensor on the 6.7l that will be affected by any change in air filter restriction.

 

There is not a MAF on my 6.7! Or at least not one that I've ever seen, my Chevy truck has a MAF on it and the engines dies if you pull the intake hose off the throttle body. I took the intake hose off the turbo on my truck to see if there was a silencer ring, started the truck for a second and it ran fine, just like my 98.5.
