fuel injection pump

fuel injection pump

i am swapping parts on my new remenufact. engine and have the injection pump swapped over but when putting sprocket back on what am i supposed to do there is no key just lock washer and nut do this pump have to be timed an what\/how do i do that

if you are working on the 04 in your signature you do not have an injection pump. Injection event is at the injector itself. CP3 is a two stage high psi pump. The fuel log and lines are nothing more than a high psi resivoir for the injectors.

thks yes it is the 04 so i dont need to worry bout how the sprocket goes on then it more less a booster ?? no timing involved yes?
