Front end part numbers needed
Front end part numbers needed
Greetings from up here.
I am looking for part numbers from aftermarket [non mopar] front axle u-joints, upper and lower u-joints as well as rear driveshaft u-joints. I have found the unit bearings and I have a carrier [center] bearing. I would prefer all to have grease zerks where I can. Its time for some more rejuvenation of the truck.
Thanks

The answer to that question is about as accurate as the replies I got from a front end shop and a dealer...the answer is...maybe.
I still think the front pads are dragging a bit after I have driven for awhile and are creating the shudder or binding-like feel from a dead stop. It only lasts a few yards...if that. Whether the wheel is turned left, right or straight.
I am going to balance both rear drive shafts and while I have them out I may put in all new u-joints so I know where I am at. I have a new carrier bearing here.
While I am doing the brakes, I am considering doing everything since the truck has over 153,000 miles. This way I know I have dealt with all the high mile parts and I should have a better baseline and HOPEFULLY the binding is gone and so is the vibration between 66-72 mph. The vibration absorbs or disappears after 72 but at 80 I can tell it has become more of a harmonic drone.
