Fleetguard fuel filters

Had a fuel filter emergency yesterday and did not have an spare. Went to Carquest to get a WIX to use in the meantime, since this is my daily driver and I couldn't wait. Opened the box and saw the Fleetguard/Cummins logo on the top of the filter, and at the top of the directions, it states that Fleetguard is the manufacturer for WIX, Carquest, and NAPA fuel filters. Made my day.

What was the price and part number of the filter? This could be their old technology since Fleetguard has updated to a finer um in the fuel filters.
Just saying!

The filter that came in the Carquest box was identical in every way to the Fleetguard FS43258 that I had to replace, right down to the Fleetguard and Cummins logos on the top of the filter. It is the filter within a filter which was the last change that they have made to date. The '10 and above has been upgraded to a smaller micron rating, but the '07.5 to '09 have been the same since late '08. Upgrading the earlier filters to the FS43258 required changing out the canister to the FS43257. Fourty six bucks and change for the element.
