I am going through the egr thing now. So my question is has anyone out there who has had all the problems with the cel coming on and back off back on back off gotten a good fix yet? Been to the dealer three times so far.Lite is on and off now. I have an appointment for next week. Getting pretty fed up Chrysler really needs to get there **** together or they won`t sell to many of these things if the word get out that they are in the dealers driveway more than yours...

 

I got the check engine light for the EGR temp sensor last week and they replaced sensor, 3 days later got check engine light for low preasure turbo, they are replacing turbo as we speak.....before egr i had new dpf installed, there is a list of problems for these new 6.7........good luck and document all your visits to dealer with paper work.

 

I've had same problem and last 2 visits to Dealer they removed EGR valve and cleaned it and temp sensor. I also had the re-flash done 2 visits ago. Been 3 weeks now with no reoccurance. My confidence isn't high yet.
Going on trip in a week pulling 11m lb. Travel Trailer will see how it does.
The last time they told me the valve wasn't as dirty as the first time they cleaned it.
I also had the code for the turbo ,was told if that came back they would replace the Turbo. So far no codes.

 

Well!! That don`t make me feel to much better. Mine still has the CEL but my Dealer told me to go ahead and drive it till next week. I`m about to pull my boat with it this weekend I will see. Thanks for the replies...

 

I had the same code/problem. The dealer installed rev b and cleaned the egr 4000 miles ago and no more problems.

 

I had/have the same problem. I have all the flashes except the one nobody has any numbers for or there is no tsb for. My light goes on and off with no performance issues. I call the service dept. about twice a week to see if I need to come in again. They say keep going. I've had my egr cooler valve replaced twice. Truck seems to be trying to regen almost constantly though. It has not hurt the mileage any, still getting anywhere from low 13 to high 14 mpg. almost 13000 miles now. Still luv the truck.

 

Still having the same problem with the check engine light coming on and off on and off. I have tried multiple times to get the local dealer to look at it but they have no convenient times for me and my schedule.

They ask me when I would like to bring it in and I tell them 3 diff. times and dates and they say that is not convenient for them.

Still love the truck just not happy with the local service dept....

I will try to take off on a week vacation and see if they can find a convenient time for them so they can look at it....
