Anyone else notice an electrical buzz or humming sound - it seems to be coming from behind the instrument cluster?? It is intermitent and only lasts 3 to 4 seconds per time.

Any ideas????

Yes, I have had this issue also. I am not sure what is causing this but it may either be a seat belt issue, or door sensor acting up. Very intermittent and not quite load enough for passanger to hear, unless the radio is mutted. I believe it is in the upper left hand conern of the dash. I have had the vehicle in to the dealer but he could not find any issues will be going back soon to check one more time.

 

I've had that happen too when I hit a pothole or something jarring. Mine sounds like it comes from right around my steering column in the dash. Only lasts a few seconds so I can't get a read on it. Has only happened about 3 or 4 times so not a biggy right now.

 

I had it a few times...I think I fixed it as its gone now. I had some wires coming in from the engine bay for some aftermarket stuff and when I tied things up real nice, I noticed there was a factory harness real close to the steering column. I moved it a bit at the same time and no more buzz. I think it was touching just enough to transfer some vibration/buzz. At least that appears to have been the solution on this truck.
