Trying to decide on guages. I have been trying to do some research on the edge insight monitor. I know it plugs into the wiring harness of the truck and to install the EGT probe the manifold needs to be drilled. I like the idea of getting more monitoring for close to same price of a dual WesTec mechanical guage (boost/EGT). My main question is has anyone had trouble with dealers trying to tell you your warranty is voided after installing digital or mechanical guages. I lke the features of the insight but dont want to put my warranty in jeopardy. If anyone is using the edge insight let me know if you like it..

i have both, Mech gauges are much much more accurate, I just have insight to Clear my codes when i start the truck. I am missing some parts I have to clear the codes every time i start. Parts that are not missed

 

I have the insight as well. I track time since last regen, rail pressure, trans temp, boost. I like the insight, but have not tapped the manifold for EGT til I find a dealer that will not void my warranty. The only complaint I have so far, is the software that comes with it. I've tried installing it 5x and it still only checks for updates but will not go to the software menu, so I can configure my insight thru my computer. Right now I'm doing it thru the monitor only. The software could be more user friendly. I will try to contact Edge to see what the issue is.
