dyno basics for first timer

I have had several diesel pickups and never had the chance to dyno one well I do now. I just want know some basic info as so operation, gear selection (if any). Pretty much basic information.

You want the highest gear that will put the most load on the engine. Probably about 65-105 mph will be the best.

you want to select the gear that is 1:1 through the trans. 3rd gear locked up for your tranny.
