Well I have now made two trips from southern IL to Syracuse NY pulling a 20' tag trailer. Both trips were done in white out conditions. The dually has been by far much more stable than any other truck/trailer combo I have driven. Didn't use 4wd except when passing for extra stability. I'm still very pleased with the performance of this truck.

Dually's are worse in snow. Up in Alaska where they have ruts built into the roads, the duallys rears ride outside the ruts. Unless you absolutely need the dually for pulling, the SRW is a better option for poor road conditions.

I have to deal with the winters here in the "mitten" with the dually 2wd. I have added about fourteen 12" cinder blocks. I have them all straped down so they won't be comming through the rear window. This is my second 2wd dually and about 500k combined milage with no problems.
