Drain Tranny Fluid or Fluid Exchange?

I had my tranny fluid serviced (drained and re-filled) at 30K. I am at 64K now and am trying to decide on whether to drain and refill again or have the fluid exchange done. I wil have dealer do work.

What are pros/cons of each method?

I've heard of an exchange system that removes fluid, filters it, and returns it to tranny. I believe dealer uses this method. Is this correct? Old fluid is old fluid, regardless if it is filtered.

Tranny appears to shift fine - once in a while it will hunt back and forth 1-2-1 at slow speeds-usually slow speeds uphill. Do I need band adjustments? Does dealer adjust bands during normal tranny service?

I've also read here on this forum to NOT adjust bands. Why

or

Should I have tranny fluid drained, filter changed and bands adjusted.

Thanks!
