Can a Cummins dealer update the computer with their equipment Vs going to a dodge dealer? I have class A motorhomes with cummins power and I can send them over to have the power boosted for my customers...for a price of course.

One of my techs here said his buddy at cummins can boost the 6.7. Anyone tired that? I wonder if it will void the warrany if it comes from a cummins dealer?

 

Cummins can boost the power on the motorhome if they have a calibration that matches, but they cant hook up to dodge trucks.

 

Don't beleive they can. Here at work we have buses with Cummins and the techs say that the Dodge programming and computer is different. Dodge did this to control the Cummins in their trucks.

 

OK, thanks. I had a chance to get some work done very cheap. Guess I have to stick with the dodge dealer who didn't know how to activate the manual idle control!

 

JMHO is if the motor is in a motor home a Cummins dealer/service shop would be a better place to take the MH than a Dodge dealer.
