I am getting a "See Dealer Now" message. I've been told it is most like the crankcase filter mileage warning message.

The PO changed it around 65000. I now have 94000. Is it due to change that often? Is this a dealer only part?

How do I reset the warning so it will go away? I have a smarty box that reads codes, but nothing is coming up on it. I guess this is a super-secret dodge dealer only computer.

it does not set a check engine light therefore no codes for the smarty to read. the reset procedure is in the above link. also changed every 67k miles and can do it yourself

 

See dealer now message can be as simple as overlooking your oil change reminder too long or something worse w/ or w/o a ck eng lamp.Perform service is the message for the 67k maint. & since you have a cab & chassis your interval is 75k mi.The reset procedure should fix you up

 

Use the Smarty to clear it anyway. Even though no codes are showing, still clear em. It will clear out the message.

Or at least it should. Used to do so on my overhead message for the perform service now DPF message.

 

i tried the clearing on the smarty and it didn't take the message away. I will try the reset method and see what happens.

forgot to mention, the truck doesn't have any egr stuff on it, or DPF. No cat, and straight muffler.

 

the smarty will not clear that message as its a service reminder not a malfunction indicator. you have to do the clearing procedure on that link to reset service reminder for crank case filter.

 

Can't get the reset procedure to take. Is there some secret I'm missing?

 

had this happen a couple times. remove smarty (return to stock) and then do the reset procedure, then reload smarty and clear about 6 codes that will pop up and you will be golden

 

Worked. Took smarty back to stock. Did the procedure. Cleared codes. Went back to program and cleared codes again. All is good. Thanks
