Clutch smelling??
Clutch smelling??
Hey guys,
today i was pulling something heavy with my truck on a gravel road and truck got stuck a few times on it.The was a clutch burnt smell for a while since i didn't have any traction. I know i shouldn't have done this
but does it harm my clutch???I will never do it again
since i love this truck but just want to comfort myself on it.
TY

Maybe it could of just been the smell from your tires spinning out if you had no traction on gravel. I pull 12,000lbs through bush roads all the time and i can honestly say whenever i get that smell its usually from my tires spinning out. I usually only get a clutch burning smell when iam backing up with a heavy load on. I could be wrong but thats just my experience.
