Changing The Fuel Filter
Changing The Fuel Filter
Search is broke right now
I just got my truck (33k miles) and I probably should change the oil and the fuel filter.
Where is the fuel filter located on this truck (2007 6.7) and what is the procedure for changing it?

The fuel filter is on the driver's side. There should be a a clear 3/8" ID clear drain tube attached to the bottom. I recommend buying a longer length of clear tubing to make draining easy and clean. A gallon zip-lock bag over the filter when you unscrew the old one will help contain any fuel that didn't drain. Good luck.
Just wait till you need to replace the CCV filter, up here the dealer wanted $178.00 (just for the filter, labour was another $100.00), I paid $72 at the Cummins dealer and did it myself. The transmission filters were 78.00, only available at the dodge dealer...
I still love the grunt of the 6.7 and that 6 speed auto with engine brake....
