Well. Here we go. 2008 MegaCab 2500 4x4 with 92,000 trouble free miles.
Couple of weeks ago headed to Colorado the CEL came on. No performance issues. Went out on it's own after a few miles. Fast forward a couple of days still in Colorado.....NO CEL but upon startup the engine had no power, bucked, kicked, coughed, missed.....seemed worse with EB on. Wound it up pretty good going down a pretty steep hill and let the EB hold it. Shut it off and restarted....NO problems. Finished Colorado vacation with no issues.
Fast forward 2 weeks. Fired up to go to work. No problems. Drove to Sonic for a super breakfast burrito. Upon restart. No CEL but NO power. Sounds like turbo is not spooling and engine is bucking like before but not as bad. CEL comes on after driving for a bit......still no power.
Did the J35 when it first came last year.
Hope this is not the start of a ton of issues.
Plan to do the deletes and smarty-fy it when warranty gone.
Calling dealership.

Had to argue a little but once the service manager realized I had the knowledge gained from this forum they started behaving nicer. Looks like the EGR will be replaced. Got a 2011 loaner.
Tried to tell me over full crankcase caused the CCV filter to be saturated and caused the issue. Conversation went something like this:
(me) NO...I KNOW about that issue and changed the filter early, changed the oil 2k miles back and only put in 11 qts because the system YOU put on the Cummins dumps diesel in the oil.....AND YOU KNOW it Mr. Srv Mgr. IF it made THAT much oil in 2k miles we have a much more serious issue!!! (SRVMGR) Oh..Yeah....well let us change the filter and see if that fixes it. (ME) NO....I will change the filter and YOU put on the new EGR. (SRVMGR) Well light is out now so....(ME CUTTING HIM OFFA) SO WHAT....the computer already told you what the issue was. I won't have to join the lawsuit AND I will let you change the filter and make little money if you just put on the new EGR. There is only 7000 miles left on the warranty and if you do not change the EGR and it goes out just after the warranty goes out there WILL be trouble. Put in the EGR! (SRVMGR) Have you done the transmission and differential services on time (ME) What does that have to do with the price of tea in China? (SRVMGR) Huh? (me) Tranny and diff have NOTHING to do with this emissions issue!! (SRVMGR) Oh. Ok....how about we put in an EGR? (me) OK. For that, I will let you also do the filter and make a little money. Now wasn't that easy? End of conversation.
That was Friday afternoon late. Did not hear back from him before closing time. I kind of expect to hear from him today saying Dodge denied the EGR swap. We will see.
