Can I change my rear end?
Beside completely removing all of the fliud, axles, ring & pinion, install ring & pinion, set back lash & install rest of parts.
Not bad.
I would make sure that you have the the dial indicator & marking grease handy to do the job right.
If you have never done anything like this, plan on 6 or so hours so that you don't have to rush yourself & you're able to follow the directions as you go.
It's not difficult, it just takes time to do it right.
If you have a 4x4 you will also have to the front as well.

Thanks for your answer....
I'm sure that job is far beyond my technical capability - besides I don't have a place or the tools to attempt it. Will a Dodge dealer do the change or should I take my truck to a good garage? Any idea how much this should cost?
