I just picked up my brand new '08 2500 laramie with manual trans. that I ordered on Dec 1. I love this truck in every way. I am just getting it set up to tow with a brake controller and drop hitch now and I am excited to see how it does compared to my old 350 chevy. I'm sure it will blow that away. I have one question. I have been doing a lot of reading about the G30 recall and AM AW AV... flashes. I am fairly sure the G30 recall doesn't apply to me but do any of the updated flashes apply to me.

the latest flash for 08's is AM if i remember correctly. The flashes you posted (au av aw) only apply to 07.5s

I haven't yet had the chance to tow with my new 2500 laramie. The truck had
580 miles on it when a young man with a suspended license and no brakes
rearended me sitting at a stop light. Right rear quarter panel, tail gate, bumper and exhaust system are gone. The bed didn't get into the cab.
I understand the sick feeling I've heard talked about when something like
this happens. I picked the truck up on Dec.31 and was loving it. I think
it will pull circles around my trade in, an 03 3500 SO srw laramie.
Does anyone know anything about diminished value? I'me probably going to
find out
