Question Block heater cord

Anyone know where to find a block heater cord for a reasonable price, the dealer wants 45 bucks sounds like a lot to me for an extension cord.

You can try Geno's or your local Cummins dealership. The are around 10-15 dollars for a 5.9 and I would expect about the same on a 6.7.

most if not all Cummins engines use the same cord, no change from 5.9 to 6.7 cord.

Does it matter whether the cord has the straight plug or the 90-deg plug that I see on ebay?

I got this cord from ebay.

OEM Cord

It costs a bit more, but it comes with protective plastic sheathing and clips that align perfectly with the holes in the frame. A bit more $, but a perfect fit.

No way, ME TOO!

I ordered it, went back twice, the third time (a month later) they admitted they had it the whole time and had put it on the wrong shelf. The guy handed it to me, told me it was on them!

I think it was only like an $13.00 part.

The guys that have the Cummins cord can confirm, but I think that comes as just a plain cord with no sheathing or attachment clips. Not sure if the length is the same either...
