First of all WOW. I must say your tolerance level is pretty high. But if I were in your shoes I would start thinking about a lemon claim. That low of miles and all those problems on 45k truck is unacceptable.

The important thing to remember is to retain all documentation. Be clear and precise on what you think the problem is. If I remember correctly three times on the same failure is considered lemon or multiple failures in a short time period but don't hold me to that. I would also try and find another dealer close with hopefully a staff that is ready to work with you. Ask around and see if you can find someone to recommend one that is compentant.

As far as the truck I would definately say the dpf is shot. It seems that it could be over fueling for some reason or getting way to much EGR flow. This causes the dpf to over fill and as soon as it lites, it just gets way to hot, combine that with a drop to idle and it will crack. If all they can say is that it is normal then challenge them to get it to pass an emissions test, not a chance.

Hopefully all my ramblings are helpful and remember its just my opinion.

Hot Rod 4. I will give my dealer 1 more chance. If no sucess i will seek a lemon law loyer in my area and ask him for advice. If then all fails then guess will come time to delete some trouble making parts. Thanks to all you guys for sugestions and opinions.

I was stupid long time ago I should lemon this truck but now is to late. I like the truck and i was giving them a chance's hoping that 1 day will be fixed and good. Have 10000 to go before warranty ends dont know what to do.
get rid of the truck somehow before your warranty ends. go back to a gasoline truck until these manufacturers can do their own research, engineering and development and not send inferior products out to the public to do it for them.

Hey, I am in your corner. I would definitely like to see all of that happen, but, I am not holding my breath. I loved my truck also, but, for a daily driver that I occasionally use to haul a load, I am not going to put up with a lot of hassle to keep it.

P.S. And with the administration and congress we now have, I don't look for any improvements. It is only going to get worse.

Thats the truth if Ive ever heard it. Im just lucky I live in an area where things can "fall off" my truck and not be noticed.

I started modding my truck with no intentions of having the dealer warranty anything. Id rather pay good money for an aftermarket part that will perform the way I want it. As things go south on my truck, they will be replaced and upgraded by better parts by me.

Now I know not everyone can or wants to go that route. Its just how I feel.

Here is response to my problems from cummins. As other members may wonder...
"You have contacted Cummins Inc. at our Customer Assistance Center in

However, some Dodge dealers have a relationship with Cummins distributors
and can "sublet" warranty work to them. Contact your Dodge dealer for

We are happy to provide information and assistance to our customers,
however, our distributors and dealers are our primary points of sales and
are the proper place to inquire about availability and prices of Cummins
products.

To locate the nearest Cummins-authorized Dealer or Distributor Service
Provider call our toll free customer assistance line 1-800-DIESELS

Finally 2 oxi sensors and downpipe arrived at the dealer. Was told that they are newer oxi sensors and the pipe wrap will help with soot build up on oxi sensors. Also didnt know but dealer told me that they have new software BA
with will correct P2000 and other issues. Drove the truck today for 50 mil so far no codes. Notice on EVIC my avg mpg galons sticking in 8-9mpg i was shock to see that it was 10-11 now 8-9. After 5 mil of commute went to 16-17 with i never seen before. My est mte showed 480 where before was 390.
Driving home fealing was like new engine under the hood. Automatic shifting geats at lower rpm is smooth now (+) e-brake seems to be weeker (-) makes sound but stoping power decresed. At low rpm pick up speed is way wose then before (-) but full throtle lunch is much stronger and better pick up (+). Will come back with hand calculated milage soon as i go thru the tank or two. Hope that no more cells and no more issues.

As of PDF and NO'x i was told that i have 8yr 100k warranty for emission stuff. They strongly say that is nothing wrong with it. Not to worry about black tail pipe. Give a friendly advice that truck needs more hwy driving as my driving habbits are 99% city thats why I have some issues and black tail pipe. Adviced that regen in city driving wount clean dpf and nox fully the way that it should. So i will take if for a 1 or 2 hwy trip over the weekens and chek it out.

Mine was clean for 6k and then went black and it was a cracked DPF. After the replacement i washed off the black and it went back to a PERFECTLY clean pipe. There should be NO black in your pipe even with town driving. Make them replace it or take it to another dealer. After being replaced i deleted mine and i'm much much happier. Went from 11.5 city 14.5 to 14 city 19 hwy.
