Bilstein silver/yellow
Bilstein silver/yellow
Are the silver ones the 5100s.That is what I have on the rear now.Don't remeber where I got them from but remeber when we installed them and cut retainer strap they raised the truck bed.Even with 3000 lbs fiver pin weight rear tires come off ground when hitting a bump towing.Empty I am sideways when hiting bump while shifting. From what I have read the 5100s are for liftted trucks.Would the yellow ones be a little smother. Was not that rough with stock shocks on.
The yellow bodied ones are the "HDs" designed for stock height applications. My uncle has them on his '06 DRW and they ride nice and smooth. The 5100's (silver body) are for trucks with some form of additional suspension lift.
The 5100's just have 2" longer travel. That's really the only difference.
