axle wrap in winter

Since we have had 6 months of snow this year and every time I take the truck out the rear end is hopping around like the Easter bunny, I need some traction bars. I have looked at the T/Rex ones, very nice and no welding, but I see no reviews. What are others running? I don't race the truck, I use it for work towing every time its running, but I just can't take the axle wrap any more and I need something reliable.
