Mines been pinstriped on both sides, busted complete mirror assy. on drivers side and hit a concrete pole on the driver's door that left 2 good dings and a few deep scratches. All of this with only 2000 miles on the truck.

This was on my 96. Drove home from the dealer from picking it up brand new. Pulled in the garage pushed garage door button to close it and very shortly thereafter I hear this scraping sound then the garage door stops and starts going back up. I am what the heck was that noise then I notice the door going back up. The door scraped down the back of the tailgate hit the bumper stopped and then went back up and scraped it on the way up as well. Put a nice 8-10 inch scrape down to bare metal about 1/4 inch wide. I was very happy especially with my wife standing right there shaking her head and snickering at me. We had a good laugh about it, of course that was a few minutes later after I reattached my head that had momentarily blown off.

Was trying to change the factory wipers finally and stood up on the front wheel for better leverage. Suckers wouldn't come off. Decided to carefully climb up and put my knees up on the edge of the hood to pull them off easier. POP! The hood buckles down then up and I jump off. CRAP! it buckled right at the hood seam. Had some nice creases. Had to call paintless dent removal. The guy did a great job. And yes I'm type A personality about my truck.

Sucks though, once you start using them you can't go back, somethings bound to get you.
You could spray the top of your fenders like JD did with Bedliner, I think it looks pretty sharp and would definitely protect it.

As for dents, I have 13K on the clock, bought the truck last December and have a misterious dent in the passangers side rear door, replaced the windshield unknown cause of crack, replaced rear bumper (borrowed my dads car and he got rear ended while driving my truck to work), and have to still replace the grille shell from an off road incident.
