ABS Light during start-up
Hey folks, I have another new thing that happens when I start the truck. When I start my truck I turn the key to the on position to allow the truck to conduct all of its self checks. About 1 month ago, my ABS light started popping up right when I start the engine along with a chime but it goes away right away. It didn't used to do this and since it goes away, I didn't think it was anything to worry about. Should I be worried?
Thanks

Rgr, It's a bone stock 2007 6.7 SRW. I haven't even checked to see if if threw codes given that the check engine light doesn't come on. I'll definitely check to see if there are any codes.

What is the over head display showing? You should be able to scroll through the display and see if the OHD is saying system is OK, if not this may display some information.
The ABS has a self diagnostic program that is run through one of the on board computers on your truck. If one of the parameters of the ABS system is out of spec, then the light and chime will be activated. You may want to take this to your dealer if your still under warranty and have the system checked out.
