6-Speed Manual Gear Ratios

I'm curious. Does anyone know what the gear ratios are for the 6-speed man tranny on the 2007 Dodge Ram trucks? I can find the auto's ratios but not the manual's. My 2007 6.7 CTD has the 3.73 rear end. Thanks.

6.29:1 first gear ratio, 3.48:1 second gear ratio, 2.1:1 third gear ratio, 1.38:1 fourth gear ratio, 1:1 fifth gear ratio, 0.79:1 sixth gear ratio and 5.74:1 reverse gear ratio.

Mine runs right around 2050 at 65 MPH, kinda makes me stay at or LOWER than that speed when towing, otherwise she drinks too much fuel.

I was joking.

All anyone needs to really know about the g-56 in front of 3.73's is that they will be trying to shift into 7th the first few months of owning the truck.

The guys with 22.5's are probably riiiiiiiiiight in the nice RPM range.

ACTUALLY, LOL.......on the newer g-56's (2007.5)they went too a 0.74:1 6th gear, too more closely resemble the old NV5600 ratio.....too increase fuel mileage when unloaded!!!

Ahhh. Cool, too bad they didn't come up with that in 05-05.5!

I thought this was only in the 4500/5500 trucks? When can I buy the gear and put it in my trans?
I shouln't have to buy 37"tires just so I can drive down the highway at a decent RPM.

Don't feel bad - I've had these for 6 months and I still occasionally try to grab 7th!

I went and test drove one today, and man it really needs another gear on the HWY.

I was thinking about getting the Man. trans but by driving it really made me want the auto. I drive a lot of HWY miles and I can see this will not work for me.

Exactly the reason I got the auto for my 2007 MegaCab. I really wanted the 6 speed for towing as I was very happy with the 6 speed in my 2002.

But I could not live with the RPMs and lower MPG. Really stupid on the part of Dodge.

Really makes you wonder what they are thinking. Crappy seats that almost crippled me, 6 speed that is really not practical, AC/Heater fan that is way too loud at its lowest setting. Things that would not be that hard to fix, but makes a big bad impression on the owner.

I have the 4.10s in mine, and I want a 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th gear... Either that, or put 3.73s and 19.5" with 285/70s on it. That should put it about right.
