This is rediculous. There is no recall what so ever on the 6.7/auto equipped trucks. It is a NEW product folks. This happens everytime we have a new product come out. The first ones to be produced always get held and checked and rechecked to make sure there are no problems. I have 5 of the 6.7/68rfe's all ready shipped, so quit worrying. This guys dealer doesn't know what he is talking about.

I heard a so called expert dealer on the other site say that people trucks were being held because the dealer they ordered it from wasn't selling enough trucks and didn't have any allocations. That is dead wrong, if the truck is built the dealer has allocation. If he doesn't it won't even get produced. I am amazed at the amount of mis-information out there.

I saw a full load Laramie Megacab 4x4 6.7L 68RE automatic at the autoshow and the guy said it they would be in dealerships last weekend up here in Alberta. Super nice looking truck.

The only downside I can see to the 68RE is the electronic gear selector button is real tiny and insignificant feeling. They need a nice shifter like the GM's Allison one. Otherwise the truck looked awesome in every way.

Yeah that was a nice truck wasnt it! I was hoping to see a megacab dually with the 6.7 in it. I really want to drive one. I want to see how that 6 speed works. If it is good I might buy one and make my 03 a full time toy

Well I talked to another dealer today about ordering a new truck. He told me the same thing. There is a problem with EGR and the automatics have a been delayed in shipping.

So there must be some truth to this.

I'm still going to order one. I think I have narrowed down the best price, just waiting for one more response.

OK, think whatever you want. I have five of them that are gonna hit my lot within the next few days, and another five in the next two weeks or so. There are no problems with them, just more of my fellow dealers that don't know what they are talking about.

From what I have found, the "recall' was similar to the 48RE release with some electrical issues in the harness from the main controller. I think its just a pick and replace type of upgrade for a connector or something like that. Not internal mods as far as I know..

Luke, Thanks again for looking up my truck. My salesguy said the same thing about an EGR or something. I couldn't really understand him, he was on my answering machine while eating a sandwich or something.

The real problem may be that it won't slip out of park and they have to figure out how to make it slip so they can fix it with another band-aid.
Perhaps they could make the horn honk when you open the door.

You can't have a recall when it hasn't been delivered yet.

You can bet there are software changes happening continously, and will keep happening for awhile on both the engine and trans.

???????????????????????????

We're you guys not aware that the 6.7L-07.5 model trucks don't actually exist? Just a dream...

The only thing out of Mexico are crawlers and fence busters.

Hey Luke? Is the storage lot in Mexico? Also, after the truck ships, usually, how long does it take til it gets to the dealership say in Idaho. I am trying to coordinate a family trip and it's getting tight on time.

Yes they are stored at the plant. I'd say 5-10 days on the rail to Idaho, and depending on what kind of railyard they have up there it could only take a day or two to get on a truck and go to your dealer or if it's like our railyard it sometimes takes longer to get from there to me than it spends on the train, and my railyard is only an hour and a half from me!
